Last week we saw the bet of the decade with a local punter scooping £100,000, and this week we have probably the best ‘bet small, win big bet’ ever to appear in the PG.

One online punter took the PG motto to another level at the weekend with a 25p soccer bet accumulator to leave William Hill in shock.

The bet started on Saturday and ended on Sunday. The plucky punter took three correct scores, with QPR to win 2-0 at 7s, Liverpool to win 3-1 at 10s and Newcastle to win 2-1 at Cardiff at 10s – the 25p acca had just turned into a £242 double.

Next up was Watford at 4/1 in the Winrush bet and they won 2-1 at Huddersfield to set up a Sunday sweat with £1,100 riding on it.

Again our plucky punter went for a big one, taking a West Ham win at in-form Spurs and the Hammers at 15/2 delivered a 3-0 win to secure a £10,285 payday for our 25p punter.

I make it a 40,000/1 win – an absolutely mindblowing bet!

PG XXX TRIXIE

International bores this weekend and to be honest, folks, there is zero value to be had on Friday’s crucial games. Only big punters will touch most of these prices.

So we head to the English domestic lower league games on Saturday for our weekend soccer bets and start a with our draw treble.

League 1 and League 2 have a lot of tight games over the weekend and we suggest draws in the Rotherham v Swindon, Dagenham and Redbridge v Cheltenham and Rochdale v Newport games. The treble pays 35/1 with Sean Graham.

The PG QUAD

Let’s get stuck into the weekend Quad and we start with the teams that lead the way in League 1.

Leaders LEYTON ORIENT (11/10) can maintain their tight lead at the top with a win over MK Dons while second-placed PETERBOROUGH (11/10) can take all points away at Port Vale.

EXETER (21/20)  have quietly moved into contention in League 2 and can trouble the leaders if they can beat Hartlepool.

Making the quad up WYCOMBE (1/1) who should see off lowly Torquay.

PG FIVEHIT

On to the odds-on Fivehit and hopefully  Preston 4/7, Brentford 5/6. Mansfield 5/6, Dundee 4/5 and Queen of the South 4/6 can all register wins at the weekend.

PG GOALRUSH

We finish our weekend soccer with the Goalrush and we suggest both teams to score in the following games: Leyton Orient v MK Dons, Port Vale v Peterborough, Rotherham v Swindon, Shrewsbury v Gillingham, Bury v Morecambe and finishing with Fleetwood v Chesterfield.

Weekend Racing

We delivered the  Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner last weekend when TREVE romped home at 9/2 – what a horse, what a performance!

It’s Betfred Cesarewitch day at Newmarket on Saturday with some cracking races as well and we start with the big handicap.

The Cesarewitch was won in great style last year by Irish raider DOMINATION. The same horse will take some stopping come Saturday and is priced as low as 7/1 in midweek markets.

We have the Group 1 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes and Aidan O’Brien as usual has a strong hand in the race. War Command could take his chance but make sure to keep an eye on BE READY (5/2) who could upset the applecart.

The Irish trainer should be in luck in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes with the impressive and unbeaten GREAT WHITE EAGLE  who gets a 2/1 quote from Sean Graham midweek.

PG came across this word to the wise last week and it’s spot on. How do you leave a betting shop with a small fortune? Go in with a big fortune.

So best of luck to our bet small win  big punters out there.
