Albion Star 2002s v Aquinas All Stars

Albion Star welcomed a strong Aquinas team to Shaftesbury Recreation Centre on Saturday.

The only goal of this very entertaining opening third was from Michael Steele who powered home to give Albion Star a well-deserved lead at the break.

Albion’s main threat came from Jack Flynn who managed to get his first hat-trick with three great individual goals in the space of five minutes.

Albion turned the style on in the final third with Seamus Duffy scoring spectacularly from 20 yards out.

Michael Steel got his second goal of the game soon after, hammering the ball home.

Seamus Duffy rounded the scoring off for Albion Star with another spectacular goal for his brace.

Albion Star face Cliftonville Reds at Shaftesbury Recreation Centre this Saturday (11am kick-off).

Albion Star 2003s v Orangefield Boys

Seamus Duffy got the ball rolling for Albion with a neat finish to put Albion ahead.

It wasn’t long after when Rudrush got in on the act to tap home from two yards out to finish off some great Albion Star build up play.

Shortly before the break Orangefield pulled a goal back while after the break Seamus Duffy scored to get his second goal of the game.

It wasn’t long before Cain McConkey found the net with a superb finish to send Albion into the break on high spirits.

After the break the game got a bit physical with tackles flying in from everywhere but Albion still managed to find the net with Seamus Duffy getting his hat-trick.

Then Shea Montgomery got his second goal in two weeks with a curling shot into the Orangefield goal.

Another man of the match performance from Seamus Duffy was capped off when he got his fourth goal of the game.

Albion Star face Shankill Juniors at 10am at the Shaftesbury Recreation Centre on Saturday.

Albion Star 2004s v Glendowan

Albion, who had almost a full squad for the game, went into this game with very high spirits after their great performance last week.

The game was filled with plenty of goals and a lot of great individual skill from players of both teams.

Overall both teams should go into next week’s game taking the positives. Albion Star’s next game will be against Rosario Strikers at 11am at Stormont pitches on Saturday.
